Our Legacy

The staff is the single most important
element in determining the quality
of the dog grooming experience.

The Groom Room has three of the most talented
dog groomers in the area having a total of 28
years of experience making dogs happy!

Dianna Abbott

Dianna is married with six children…..three of the children have two legs like Dianna and three of them have four legs and fur! She has always loved dogs. Ten years ago, she found her dream job….dog grooming. She has spent her career in vet offices and a specialty dog grooming salon. Dianna not only grooms dogs, but befriends and loves all her furry clients AND their parent owners.

Dianna’s philosophy: “I am my work….the way your fur baby looks when they leave my hands is the most important thing to me. I want your baby to be clean and beautiful to make us all proud!”

Candice Plankers

Candice has never spent a day of her life without a dog in tow. She spent 15 years in Tennessee law enforcement, five of those with the Gallatin Police Department. She still gravitated to the Canine Units and decided she wanted to work with dogs on a daily basis. She received her grooming certification and spent a year interning at the former AAA Dog Grooming Salon. She has never looked back as she has developed many furry friendships along the way. Candice has a warm heart that is felt by the cold noses she grooms allowing her to bring out the best in each dog’s personality.

Julie McCarty

Julie came to Tennessee with a business degree and worked for American Airlines and Gaylord Entertainment. Being a cowgirl from Wyoming who groomed and operated “The Clip Joint” in Sheridan Wyoming, Julie was unable to get the love of dogs out of her blood. Earning the reputation of a calm and gentle groomer, she went back to grooming and spent 6 years at the Safe Place for Animals in Gallatin before coming to the Groom Room.Julie, lives with her husband, daughter, four dogs, five cats and rabbit Hopper in Gallatin, while her two sons and their families remain in Wyoming. Julies’s philosophy is to do everything possible to make her furry customers comfortable and happy with her and the grooming process!
